Happy Holidays.

I only get up the courage to make these beauties once a year. Rainbow cookies, a New Jersey dietary staple, are noticeably absent from bakeries here in the middle of the Pacific. They will, however, always hold steady at #1 on my list of favorite nostalgic cookies. I just love 'em.

Enjoy your time off & see you next year!

Hey, Blondie.

Today's Special: The lazy baker's kitchen sink blondies with dark chocolate chips, pecans, marshmallows and coconut. Rich & random.

On a side note, whilst congregating for cookies, we noticed a wardrobe theme--STRIPES! The following photo sesh ensued (thanks, Delo!).

It's kind of a miracle that we manage to make magazines every month.

*Don't forget next week's cookie potluck!

A Call for Cookies

Last Friday's recovery CF was pretty chill--yet chock full of mini-cupcakes! What kind you ask? Perhaps you didn't get to taste the chocolate chip cookie dough little wonders. Classic yellow cake with a cookie surprise center and fresh chocolate buttercream. Okay, I didn't have one either, but I hear they were tasty.

Now, looking ahead: CF is planning a major holiday "cookie swap" for Wednesday, December 24. It's a half day. You know you won't be doing work anyway. So if you have time, bake up a batch to bring in for the big swap. No pressure. Just cookies.

Love,
CF

PS. Last Saturday's party at Next Step was great. Lots of sweet thank yous to everyone who supported the cause.

Trick and Treat

Hope these photos were worth the wait!

Halloween Bark and Pumpkin Cake Ball Truffles courtesy of Cookie Friday.
Holiday fun and revelry? Courtesy of the crazy kids of PacBasin.

Enjoy!

He's a PC. And he's a Mac.

This still scares me.

The end :)

CF, The Holiday Edition

PacificBasin/AIO's first annual Give, Gift & Make holiday craft fair and bake sale DID WORK yesterday raising more than $1,100 to benefit the Next Step Shelter's holiday party.

Thank you to everyone for swarming our stuff and giving so generously. It will be much appreciated by the kids at next weekend's party.

Now for more fun picks from Mr. Michael Keany.

Ephy's beautiful rice crispy snowmen.

Doing BIZ.

CF represented with gingerbread, brownie and blondie sandwiches with cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate buttercreams respectively! Hours (and a small fire) worth of baking in the not-so-easy bake oven was worth it in the end.

Crafter time.

Watch your back, Brie. Scott might steal your Kiele modeling gig.

Thanks for waiting in line! (Note the 24hr Fitness in the back. The pre-workout types were strangely a hard sell.)

Have a lovely weekend!

This is my oven.

She's a petite one. So, needless to say we've been experiencing technical difficulties. Combine that with the busiest work time of the year and you get a long CF dry spell. However, we are planning to make a big comeback this FRIDAY at the first annual Give, Gift & Make sale to support the Next Step Shelter. It's 12:30-2:30, so please stop by and support. Pictures to come (oh yeah, and pics from Halloween, too--sorry for the delay!).

Happy Holidays!

PS. Special thanks to Joanne for her substitute baking skills of late :)

A cookie walked into a bar.

So, I broke my own rule. I made a quote-unquote cookie bar instead of a straight drop cookie. Ah, I guess I'm not the purist I once thought I was. Strangely enough, I didn't hear any complaints.

Today's treat was a maple walnut bar with maple cream frosting. I say was because they magically vanished pretty quickly. Blame that rich, maple-y goodness.

Please enjoy some of Delo's pics as I continue to recover from last week's craziness~

Have a sweet weekend.
XOXO, CF
