A cookie walked into a bar.

So, I broke my own rule. I made a quote-unquote cookie bar instead of a straight drop cookie. Ah, I guess I'm not the purist I once thought I was. Strangely enough, I didn't hear any complaints.

Today's treat was a maple walnut bar with maple cream frosting. I say was because they magically vanished pretty quickly. Blame that rich, maple-y goodness.

Please enjoy some of Delo's pics as I continue to recover from last week's craziness~

Have a sweet weekend.

Total Cookie Madness

We felt the need to mix it up this week. CF needed to get a little sparkle back. And what better way to do it than (1) make people wait until 11 am, and (2) bring ice cream. Guess what? Worked like a charm. Total cookie madness. I mean, full on feeding frenzy. There was a line.

This was Joanne's genuine reaction. For real.

This was two seconds before. Can you see the exCYDment building?

This week's CF featured one of my all-time favorite cookies, oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip. Despite oven difficulties, they tasted lovely a la mode.

BREAK OUT THOSE BOWLS.
We have a cookie-ton of pics this week--all taken over about a 30 minute period.
It was one for the books.

The "Before" picture.

Scoop, scoop.

Uh-huh. Not bad.

MC: Ever the adorable, cookie-loving Aussie.

Briezzy in the house.

Yes! We finally broke her. Art director extrordinaire Lora makes her CF blog debut.

Ganzie.

Double the fun. Caryn (she's back!) and Jaime take a bite out of delicious.

Patrick gets an A+ for his commitment to weekly cookie enthusiasm.

Chuck-approved.

Jenny A. may or may not have force fed Jeffy that cookie.

Welcome more newcomers! Ryan and Andrea. We're coming for the rest of you.

Almost gone.

No shame in his game. Chris "The Baking Dabbler" Bailey scrapes up the crumbs.

Happy birthday, Melanie P!

+BONUS: A rare behind the scenes look at the Delographer and me capturing the madness.

The Snowball Effect

Can you feel the chill in that crisp October air? No? Well, we're breaking out the snowball cookies anyway.

Some call them Russian tea cookies, or Mexican wedding cookies or, as John Alves calls them, pfeffernussen. We just call them delicious.

Contrary to popular belief, CF does not bake with crack.
That's a powdered sugar coating with a crumbly, melt-in-yo-mouth pecan/butter center.

Much to everyone's delight, our Delographer will resume taking the blog photos next week. Until then, here are a few more from the old point and click:

Yes, we make cookies every Friday. Leah and Linda make up for lost time.

RosemaryJo had half a cookie (caution: contains nuts) and her throat started to close. No more cookies for her.

Just another intimate cookie moment in the conference room.

Warrior cookies, anyone? See you at the game!

Sincerely, CF

Charity Cookie Friday

We celebrated the first Cookie Friday of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a special pink m&m cookie.

Donations were optional, but in the end we raised...

$37 for the Susan G. Komen Hawaii affiliate.
CF is happy to match the donation for a grand total of $75!

THANKS to everyone for supporting the cause.

Here we go. The caring cookie fanatics are going in.

Oh yeah.

"Where Your Money Goes...
Every year, 75% of the money raised by the Hawaii Affliate stays right here in our community for education and treatment. Although the remaining 25% goes towards national research, a good portion of it re-enters our community via Komen Award and Research Grants to area hospitals."
